People are pushing to close projects and wrap up jobs. When you’re tired, you miss things. Slow down. Reset. Ask for support if you need it.
- 🛑 Don’t rush the basics.
Shortcuts creep in during busy periods. Stick to permits, isolation steps, PPE, and lock-out procedures every time.
- 📱 Watch out for festive-season distractions.
Holiday plans, chats, and constant messages take your mind off the task. Keep your attention on what your hands are doing.
- 🧹 Keep housekeeping tight.
Loose tools, spills, cables, and offcuts cause most year-end injuries. A quick tidy prevents avoidable incidents.
- 🚚 Vehicles and driving need extra attention.
There is more traffic, changing weather, and impatient road users. Do your pre-trip inspections and keep routes planned and realistic.
- 🍻 Alcohol, even from the night before, is a risk.
